KONYA 13th “ A THOUSAND BREATHS, ONE VOICE”,
INTERNATIONAL THEATRE FESTİVAL

On behalf of Turkish State Theaters, Konya State Theater would like to announce the 13th “A
Thousands Breaths, One Voice” International Konya Theater Festival, which will be held between 20-30 April 2020 in Konya, Turkey.
As the first international theatre oriented event of the region, the purpose of the festival is to take a step forward towards establishing future cooperation between Turkish State Theaters-The National Theatre of Turkey and foreign groups from different countries.
The Festival also aims at building contacts for joint projects by providing an exchange of directors, actors/actresses and technical staff to improve the multicultural understanding and bilateral cooperation.
Beside their main theatre performances, groups can also propose workshops and outdoor performances like street theatre, street events, dance show events and or concerts etc.
We hope to breathe together with the unifying impact of theatre in this town where you will feel that a mystical soul of the past, starting from the Prehistoric Era to Hittite, Lydia, Persia, Alexander the Great and Roman Periods, walks along with you.
This town, which was known as “Iconium” in the Byzantine Period and now called as Konya, is also the land of clemency and tolerance.
We will be happy to see you in Konya with the love and tolerance of Mevlana Celaleddin-i Rumi, who is a world-wide famous thinker and poet.
